Lead Finder ("the extension") helps users search for businesses via the official Google Places API and export the results to a CSV file. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.
We (the developer) do not collect, receive, store, or have access to any user data. The extension does not have a server or backend of any kind.
The extension uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save, on your own device only:
This data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party other than Google, as described below.
When you run a search, the extension sends your search terms and area directly from your browser to Google's Places API (places.googleapis.com), authenticated with your own API key. Google's handling of this request is governed by Google's own privacy policy and the Google Maps Platform terms of service. We do not see, log, or have access to these requests or their results — they go directly from your browser to Google and back.
We do not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial information, authentication credentials, personal communications, location data, browsing history, or user activity. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising code of any kind.
We do not sell, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties. We have none to share.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the developer via the Chrome Web Store listing.
